Privacy Policy

These terms have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. They describe how AskMyFit actually works and we intend to stand behind them, but they may change before launch.

This policy explains how AskMyFit, operated by Matthew Chung handles your information in the AskMyFit app.

What we collect

Account information (your email address); the outfit photos you submit; the context you add (occasion, desired impression, optional question); the reviews generated for you; and basic app usage needed to operate the service.

How we use it

We use your information only to provide the app: to generate your outfit reviews, show your history, manage your weekly allowance and your subscription status, and keep the service working and secure. We do not sell your personal information.

AI processing of your photos

To generate a review, your photo and the context you provide are sent to our AI provider to produce the feedback. We currently use Google’s Gemini API for this. It processes the image to return your review and is not permitted to use your photos to train unrelated models. If we change providers we will update this policy.

Images generated of you

If you tap “Show it on me”, we send your outfit photo to the same AI provider and ask it to produce a NEW image showing you wearing a suggested item — clothing you were not actually wearing when the photo was taken. The result is an AI-generated depiction of you, not a photograph. It is private to your account, is never shown to other users, and is never used in advertising or to train models. We check each generated image still resembles you and discard it if it does not. You can delete it by deleting the review, or delete your account to remove all of them. You are never required to use this feature.

How your photos are protected

Your photos are private to your account. Our security rules restrict every photo to you — no other user can access them, and the original upload can be read only by our servers to create your review. When we process a photo we strip embedded metadata such as EXIF and location (GPS) data, and any faces you mask are covered before the image is stored. You can delete a review to permanently remove its photos, or delete your account to remove all of your photos and data.

Service providers

We use trusted infrastructure providers (for example, Google Firebase for authentication, database, storage, analytics, and crash reporting) to run the app. Analytics records which screens you visit and which features you use, tied to an app-generated identifier, so we can see where the product is confusing. Crash reporting records diagnostic details when the app fails. Neither collects your photos or your review text. They process data on our behalf under their terms.

Storage and retention

We keep your outfit photos, and any images generated from them, for up to 30 days after the review, then delete them automatically. The written review stays in your history until you delete it or close your account, so you keep the advice without us keeping the photo. You can delete an individual review, or delete your entire account and its data, at any time from Settings.

Your choices and your rights

You can review your history, delete individual reviews, and permanently delete your account and all of its data from within the app — deletion is immediate and permanent, not a flag. If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to have it deleted, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. The in-app controls satisfy the first two directly; for anything else, write to support@askmyfit.com and we will respond within 45 days.

We do not sell or share your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are defined under California law. There are no advertising networks, no tracking SDKs, and no advertising identifier in this app.

Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

AskMyFit is for adults 18 and older and is not directed to children.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Questions or privacy requests: support@askmyfit.com.
