Terms of Service
These terms have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. They describe how AskMyFit actually works and we intend to stand behind them, but they may change before launch.
These Terms are an agreement between you and AskMyFit, operated by Matthew Chung ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using AskMyFit you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
1. Who can use AskMyFit
You must be 18 or older. The app is offered in the United States; we do not currently offer it elsewhere. You confirm your age when you create an account, and we may end access if that turns out to be untrue.
2. What AskMyFit does
You submit a photo of an outfit and choose an occasion. AI generates written feedback on the outfit for that occasion. Optionally, other AI advisor personas give a second opinion, and a "Show it on me" feature generates an image of you wearing a suggested item. It is a personal opinion tool. It is not professional styling, medical, psychological, or any other expert advice.
3. Your account
Keep your login details secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has access. You can delete your account, and everything in it, at any time from Settings.
4. Your photos and what you allow us to do with them
You keep ownership of every photo and everything you write. You give us permission to store and process them for one purpose only: producing your review and showing it back to you. We do not sell your photos, publish them, show them to other users, use them in advertising, or use them to train AI models. Only submit photos you have the right to submit. Do not submit photos of other identifiable people without their permission.
5. Images we generate of you
If you use "Show it on me", we create a new, AI-generated image depicting you wearing an item you were not actually wearing. You are asking us to do that, and you can decline simply by not using the feature. The result is synthetic — an illustration, not a photograph, and not evidence of how anything actually looks or fits on you. It stays private to your account, is never shown to anyone else, and is never used in advertising or to train models. You may delete it at any time by deleting the review.
6. Acceptable use
Do not submit anything illegal, sexual involving minors, harassing, hateful, or infringing. Do not submit photos of anyone who has not agreed to it. Do not attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service, or use it to build a competing product. We may suspend or end accounts that misuse the app.
7. Free use and AskMyFit Pro
AskMyFit is free to use, with a weekly allowance of five opinions shared across every advisor — a Shopping Friend review and a Second Opinion each use one. The allowance resets weekly. AskMyFit Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that removes the weekly limit and opens every advisor. The current price for your region is always shown before you buy. We may change the free allowance or the price for future periods; if we do, the change applies going forward, never to a period you have already paid for.
8. How the subscription renews, and how to cancel
AskMyFit Pro renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, and each renewal is charged within 24 hours before the current period ends. To avoid renewing, cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Cancel or change your plan any time in your Apple ID subscription settings — cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for. Apple processes every payment and handles refunds under its own policies; we do not take payments or issue refunds ourselves.
9. AI feedback is an opinion, not a guarantee
Reviews are produced by an AI model, not a person. They can be wrong, miss things, misjudge colour or fit from a single photo, or simply not match your taste. Generated images can get your body, the garment, or the drape wrong. Treat all of it as one perspective. Decisions about what you wear, buy, or do are yours. See the AI disclosure for more.
10. Privacy and how long we keep things
We keep your outfit photos, and any images generated from them, for up to 30 days after the review, then delete them automatically. Your written reviews stay in your history until you delete them or close your account. The Privacy Policy explains what we collect, who processes it, and how to have it removed.
11. Our intellectual property
The app, its name, design, personas, and software are ours. These Terms do not give you any right to copy, distribute, or make derivative works from them. Feedback you send us about the app may be used freely to improve it, without obligation to you.
12. Changes to the app and to these Terms
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features as the app evolves. We may update these Terms; if a change is significant we will make it visible in the app. Continuing to use AskMyFit after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the app and delete your account.
13. Ending access
You may stop using AskMyFit and delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your photos, reviews, and account data. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are broken, if required by law, or if we stop offering the service. If we end the service while you hold an unused paid period, contact Apple regarding that period.
14. Disclaimers
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any review or generated image will be accurate, suitable, or to your liking. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
15. Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty-five US dollars. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or personal injury caused by negligence. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
16. Your responsibility to us
You agree to cover our reasonable losses, including legal costs, arising from your breach of these Terms, from content you submit, or from your submission of a photo of another person without their permission.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If something goes wrong, please contact us first — nearly everything can be sorted out that way, and we will try to resolve it within 30 days. If it cannot be resolved, you and we agree that any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California, and we each consent to their jurisdiction. Nothing here prevents either of us from seeking relief in a small-claims court.
18. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and AI Disclosure, are the entire agreement between us about the app. If any part is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer these Terms; we may transfer them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
